Advert
If I were to make an advert, I would choose the area of 'music'. I think that I would choose this area as an advert because music as a whole is an inspirational chapter and I would like to concentrate on that factor. I think that doing that area would be interesting yet challenging to put in perspective. I think that this would be a challenge that I would dive head first into.
Examples
Taylor Swift - cd advert
This advert uses the title of the cd and relates it to feelings and emotions that can be felt within life. It uses the celebrity herself in order to promote her cd through the use of talking and a brief appearance of her speaking directly to the audience. The advert features one of her hit songs playing in that background that was a big success. The advert informs the audience of that song and plays a section of the music video. It also promotes a deluxe cd in which 6 more songs are featured on it in order to try and get the audience to buy it.
Cheryl Cole - 3 words album advert
Within this advert, we see the use of different clips from the various songs that are mentioned in the advert. The clips are the songs 'Paracute', '3 words' and 'Fight For This Love'. This advert is simple and short - but is straight to the point. By mentioning the names of her songs, it encourages people to go and buy the album as the songs have already been a huge hit as singles. As soon as the advert begins, the targeted audience is introduced to who the advert is about and who the album is from. I think that this is a good way of advertising a album as the effect is immediate and the audience is informed of the advert prior to it promoting her singles and the album itself.
Conor Maynard - Contrast album advert
Within this advert, we see a fast set of images, wording and video. Unlike the other two adverts, this advert does not use narration. The only sounds that can be heard within the advert are some of the tracks that are on his new album. The colours used during the wording is black/grey, gold and white. The video consists of Conor Maynard himself who can be seen dancing in front of a white background. This video is good because it is a simple idea but the idea of the fast pace is good - due to the fact that it captures your attention as it immediately flashes onto the screen. At the end of the video, we see the album cover and the use of promotion through Itunes (which is where the album can be bought).
